Understanding Salesforce CPQ
Salesforce CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) is a managed package that sits on top of Salesforce and handles the entire quote-to-cash process. It has its own data model, its own logic layers, and behaviors that differ significantly from core Salesforce. You cannot pass this exam by studying core Salesforce concepts alone.
Topic 1: Bundle Configurations (22% — MOST COMPLEX)
Bundles allow you to group products together. Understanding the bundle hierarchy is critical:
- Bundle Parent (Product): The top-level selectable product
- Features: Groups of optional/required components within a bundle
